Hi All!
It has been a while since I have posted on PA .....šŸ«£

However, despite my inactivity on the forum, I have been working hard in the background on multiple projects amongst my daily work life.

I have been compiling two of my longest research journey's into more professional reports and reaching out to organisations and individuals I have met along the way, to help guide my journey and progress them into official article publications.

This includes previous PA forum posts regarding the story of Gerald Arthur Bartlett and their family history, which led me to the project of Headstone Cleaning for his memorial and other marble memorials in Murray Bridge, as posted on PA too. Many have witnessed both 8 year long journey's, starting all the way back in 2016. I had found a RAS Badge at Burdett Hall, which began it all. But for those who haven't witnessed the journey through the years, please feel free to read through my journey, if you wish ā˜ŗļø

I have now reached out to Murray Bridge News and they are more than happy to work with me on publishing my journey and work, so... it begins... and I hope this leads to continuing this further and branching out to the community in so many more ways than I thought possible.

However, not only with those two projects, I have also been working on Rapid Bay research for 6 years, regarding some findings I have made, which began in 2019, posted on PA too.

After years of research and visiting the site repeatedly, collecting 30-40+ items of significance, I am finally prepared to propose all my work to official authorities. I had made contact with SA Museum, who replied mentioning that while they appreciate it, they do not take artefacts such as those that I have with me. They directed me to the Heritage SA/Dept. Environment and Water (DEW), and the National History Trust.

Luckily, I have prior connections with a Senior Maritime Officer in DEW, and after some further conversation with this person, they agreed to help me with my project and recommended sending in a report to DEW, and publishing my works with Heritage/Historical Publishers, and he will help me make connections with some other people he knows and those who work in Flinders Uni. I have also made enquiries into History and Archaeology courses at Flinders Uni too, just in case I would like to pursue this in the future.

I have am now looking to find a heritage/historical publisher that would be willing to take onboard this project. I have done my own research and found a few groups, including the Wakefield Press, Torrens Press, Axiom Publishing and Writers SA.

However, I am not sure if there are any more publishers local to the Fleurieu Peninsula or more relevant to my discovery of State Heritage.

Wondering if anyone could help me out with this one, or let me know if I'm on the right track?

The help would be much appreciated!

This is an exciting journey to be embarking on... can't wait to be updating y'all on the progression when it starts getting in-depth and interesting once all the nitty-gritty is out of the way!

Thank you to everyone who have supported my journey throughout the years too!
