Well, after writing a detailed story about my days special hunt and finds.. While trying to load a picture it all disappeared
I hate when that happens
Im not writting it all again , so heres just the pics

Ive never seen a totally aluminium shotgun cartridge before

One 6d down straight and a full load of silvers,.... MmmmMmm, and topped off with that nice big "F L O R I N".

I'm thinking all three may be 1930 Sandta you Lucky Lucky Bastaoy ,... must be all those four leaf clovers your hunting down having some leperycorn efluence on the out come,.... hunting without glasses must be much more rewarding when you are checking out the finds. :lol:
Hang on,... even that fourth penny on the right looks like it could be a 1930 as well,.. one of the really really rare ones.

Went back first thing this morning to avoid the heat and the snakes
Saw my first eastern brown at this spot on the weekend ( the datails were/are in that story that vanished )

First find was the florin thought it was a good sign of things to come...
The watch (Royce) was the second find , and didn't that get my heart pumping.... Turned up my plug and i saw ... BIG ...& GOLD ... then the crest. Thought i really had something good but it seems not.
That was pretty much it after that the junk caps etc started flowing with only the goldies and BB's after 2 hours
The penny was almost at the back of the car

Thought it only right to start a new thread with the christening of a new set up...
A few months back i picked up another sovereign, at the right price
It too needed a bit of work to get it up and running, which i have now completely sorted out
so this morning i took it out for a test run with the 10" x 5" joey coil
I met up with Rocket around 1030 and before we knew it 4 hours had passed..
I am quite happy with the results
