Hi Zuke,
I'm waiting to hear from gold search about the super pulse results, it should have been released by now, but there's nothing on their website about it..............C'mon Gold search Australia, what's going on?

I'll pop into miners den Adelaide and see what hire detectors they have, wouldn't mind trying out the Eureka Gold.

Well when I'm looking for a car I test drive heaps to see what they're like some that I would have got turn out to drive terrible and run noisy I always end up with great cars that I love & enjoy driving.

I do the same with detectors if there expensive, if a mate has one I borrow it for a weekend and give up a box of beer.

Dam that super pulse would be good to swing as light as the GMT
I wonder what a SL would cost if goldsearch will get one in?

Yes me too, but non of my mate's have detectors, just pans and shovels, I'll have to do a Google search for detector dealers in Adelaide because the Garrett dealer isn't dealing in detectors anymore, so we only have minelab, which limits my trial and error choices

Bugger your not a bit closer as I could round up half a dozen to test and I haven't got time with a newborn to meet you at Ararat for a weekend, I've gota get that teleport working!

I've heard that they don't hire out anymore in Adelaide, were losing too many detectors with fake id/cc, don't know whether that has changed or not. A friend hired out a gpx5000, but had to go to Kennards to get access to one.

If I were looking at a serious vlf gold detector, don't think I'd look past a GMT or Goldbug 2, proven in the field, and designed specifically for gold vs something like the 705. You already have some coin/relic detectors, so not much point at looking at crossover detectors, or lower frequency ones. The Eureka, despite having great features and 3 different frequencies, just doesn't seem to hit on gold as often as the other two gold only detectors for some reason, and it's not from the lack of units out there. Don't see too many GMT or GB2 detectors out there for sale second hand, so that must say something.

Zuke, teleport would be good but the Chinese would only bring out a faster one, then I'll have to decide what model to get, some things never change. I don't have much time, myself but could arrange something if you do ever get time, thanks for the offer anyway.

Gold pick, yeah wouldn't surprise me, things like that always happen to me when I decide to compare things.

You would think gold search would keep people informed, I got a couple of replies from them, then they stopped when I asked if they were going to stock the superpulse

Nothing is wrong with a sd2000 but do you really want to spend $1000 on a 20 year old detector?

Don't waste your money or time.

Thats the advice i will give you after seeing a 5000
With an 11" find a nugget 1/2 the size of a match
head On the weekend near dunolly which is generally
the job Of a gold bug 2 or gmt buried an inch or so.

This guy is an experienced operator and has been
prospecting in central vic 3 hours a day for nearly the
past 3 weeks yielding only about 5 grams in total.

For those promoting or suggesting a vlf have you actaully
Tested the unit in high mineralised and ironstone infected
soils?

Hire a machine and blow $80 and have some fun or
Get yourself a small high banker and hit some creeks.

Next year a new system may hit the market which may
Re open some of the hammered gold fields.

Gold is out there but i suspect its small and deeper
And needs to penetrate super hot orange ground.

Enough competition in the watercourses as it it wolf.....just edit that bit out for us alluvial chasers please. :D

So who's buying it and testing it out in Central Vic?

This should be interesting..

I wonder if they will hire these out.

I'll get the pin pointer and test it in a few weeks as I sold the sd2100 and got tdi instead.

Hi Luke, finding it hard enough to pull out a nugget with a modified 3500..

Many places in central Vic have been hammered.

You see lots of cars around today.

Haven't found a nugget with the tdi pro yet but I didn't find one with the gp 3000 either.
Unfortunately you have walk over it to find it. I was lucky enough to walk over a few bits with the sd2100 but the tdi would have found them easier because it runs quieter. But in saying this when I first took the tdi out I though it wasn't real good but after about 15hrs now iv got full confidence in it on gold and on coins.
