Picked up some old hydralic rams, some round tube offcuts, heavy plate over the last couple years, and a friend of mine has gone out on his own as welder.

Production might take a few weeks, just looking at who might want one once they are done. Will be competitive price, likely as low as paint and welders cost.

Once Ive got a pic I will pop up so you blokes can see what is on offer.

Thanks guys for the eoi, Tony will try and get the welder out over the weekend to at least get a prototype together if I can wriggle free of of work and get him parts on Friday.

I am interested. Finished product will be heavy so knowing the weight will give a clue on freight costs within Australia.

So true mate but have trade scales to calculate shipping, might do a lighter guage version for choice out of mild black steel.

Will see what happens before getting too far ahead of myself.

Ok so lockdown kind of ruined my plans. Loaded ute full of materials and then....lockdown. But you cant keep a man down for long so I pulled out my welder.

Clearly the art of welding did not come back to me ( ) but at least this way Tony will have a guide when things go back to normal.

Ive gotten this far, bit stuck on handle. Top of dolly to base? Reo? Rod? U handle? Rod and pipe handle? I think U shape Rod and pipe (rod on top and bottom, pipe as "handle") would be the best but noone seems to own a bloody pipe bender.

If anyone would like a certain style let me know.

Might be Total tools excursion in the morning.

Cheers.

Ill put up dimensions to get a sense of size.

1/2" or 3/4" rod would be ideal for the handle. If you have a commercial reinforcing supplier like ARC, in the area they'll bend a batch for you.

When you attach the handle look for position where is is easy to tip with a load of crush so not too bottom heavy.

This is what I used to make before I got stuck in WA cheers Muk.

Dont know what happend with photos bloody phone upgrades change everything cheers Muk.

So Ive mocked two pots up and one crusher bar.

Bar 4kg
Heavy pot 5kg
Lighter 3.6.

Metro postage estimate (Vic) from here is about $25 combined (heavy pot and bar) so think its a winner.

If anyone wants the mock ups hit me up on inbox. My welding is a bit agricultural, but solid. No reason one wouldnt last many many years.

Anyone within an hour drive of me (3616) can deliver once lockdown lifted.

I wont set a price on them, just let me know what you reckon its worth to you.

Here they are.

Left & Right 30cm pot height, 10cm pot diameter, 10mm handle.

L base 150mm x 150mm x 10mm base.
R base 150mm x 200mm x 4mm base.

Crusher 55cm long, shaft, 30mm shaft, 70mm diameter base.

Unable to access worksite tomorrow so pulled out the grinder and welder. Lockdown means Ive had to turn my hand at it, Ive tacked several together to be done by a qualified welder (Tony) and completed 5 others.

Ill be advertising the 5 from today through my regular sales channels (facebook, online) but if anyone wants one done by me hit me up here or private message, do better for members here of course.

Cheers.
