Squiz Im still learning mine but I havent had issues with finding things. Every time mine sounds theres something there, even though its just crap lol. I would be keen to join if anybody who knows what they are doing is interested in a run.

I found that burying a bottle cap on the beach, coins on the beach ect help me to see how it works. Im yet to get serious looking for anything though.
