One amazing person who i had the pleasure of knowing
was an exploration Geologist known as Dr Miles Worsley.
He came to a Australia as a young man with his mother
and worked as a jackaroo out west when he took an interest
in the mining companies in his area. Miles hitched up with them
as a gopher and assistant. He made an impression on someone
in the mining company and they sent him to Bendigo to study
geology. Miles ended up becoming a Geophysicist travelling the
world as a freelance exploration Geologist. A few years
ago he called in at home saying he was off to Peru to read
some core samples. Sadly he didn't come home as he had a dicky
heart and as they were working at 5000 meters above sea level
the altitude got him. A clever man and good friend.
