Well,
After spending countless hours on here it appears that I am about to hit the 1000 mark on posting.
Oh I could go on for ages about the last 12 or so months but from what I have learnt and seen on here is totally priceless.
.
True, A lot of my post's have been rather whimsical in meaning but I assure you all, I meant all in good tast or humor. Whatever...
.
The most priceless thing I have done is form one of the most irreplaceable things in this world and that goes much further than a bloody keyboard and screen or what ever.
.
Friends.
.
Simple.
.
Please respond to my post and the person who I respond to on the ton may get a small surprise.
.
Nothing more to say than,
.
Thank You one and all.
.
Doug

Hey there Doug,
I'm happy for you that this forum has given you so much enjoyment .
I agree with you that there are some great people on here, I have got to meet some genuinely nice guys in the last year myself.
This forum is by far the best platform on net in regard to our hobby by far.
All the best to you for your upcoming tonne.
Cheers Steve :D

Love your work Doug and have enjoyed reading every one of your posts mate!

Its men like you that make a forum a place we can call home.

Cheers for all you do for us bloke ;)

Aaaaah, the 1000th post mark, been there once, it's a small satisfying achievement that only YOU, the user can feel.
Rapid air fist pumping, champagne corks popping, confetti and streamers falling from a unknown special place From the sky.
But what can I post for my 1000th post, it has to be catchy, it should be funny, will I crack the 20 'likes', oooooh, I do I hope so.
But the reality comes crashing down with but a few 'likes', a couple of responses to your earth shattering 1000th post when you log on to see how many other users are ready to celebrate with you, and everyone is busy congratulating the guy that found a $2 coin under a park bench with his Dick Smith detector!
Thems the blows!!!
So in the spirit of celebrating your milestone mate, I offer you this ride with the ever entertaining Mr Ken Block, in his 800 horse powerd mustang as he rips up the streets of LA, a true gift of the 1000post mark ;)

You are all newbies really :D ;)

I remember pondering on what to post about to bring myself up to the 10 mark so I could really open up.
Bit different now EH.?
Getting really excited to find Wal's Banker plans then building it. The first run I found a heap of tin and some gold at my uncles place.
Then I met Wal and Liz plus a few forum members. I am totally hooked now like I was in the 80's and early 90's. :D
.
More to follow. :)

DWT,
Like a lot of other forum members, You are one person that I would hope to meet one day soon. ;)
Your knowledge and witty humor really tell me about your personality and your input into the forum is more than respected this way mate. I feel that you can be trusted on the spot like me and coming from me as well, That is a big compliment.
I would near reckon that over a few ale's I would hardly be able to stop laughing.
It's people like you who keep things alive around here, Never a dull moment. :D
.
I think 2 or 3 more to go.

Metamorphic,
One of the most knowledgeable people in here.
A couple of your post's had me sitting on the edge of my chair balancing my stubbie as I pondered what you had to say. Well done mate and keep it up. :D
.
Yobskin,
A true pleasure to meet both you and Jamie and the rest of the crew at Oallen. Yes, We had a few drama's that I will not go on about but meeting decent people is one of life's real pleasures. :D
.
I have something brewing in the air at the moment and all I have to do is check the area out before committing to what I want to do.
.
One more to Go.  :D

Well Doug after dwt posted I don't have much to add except to say it's great to see the blokes that get out among it and join up helping teaching and enjoying time together, that really shines through in some of these congrats posts. Nothing against solo prospecting just nice to see blokes who not only share online also share a bit on kinship too.

Another quick note I like reading your unique posts seeing a bloke reveal things about himself not just prospecting, I always look for the posts like that makes pa alot more enjoyable.

With a bit of luck I'll throw a line or have a swing one day with you in the flesh as I have stated a few times I drift up that neck of the woods (some magnificent country and people) so I'm sure one day soon it will happen.

Keep at it mate I can only wish you all the best in future adventures and undertakings. Cheers big ears. :D

Well,
I just got back from an urgent service call to Batemans Bay.
320 Klm's return journey for 10 minutes work. Gotta Love that one. LOL
.
...... :D THE 1000 MARK HAS BEEN HIT ..... :D
.
Many, Many Thanks to all who have posted and taken note of this wondrous achievement.
.
Yes, I am noodling on another meetup down this neck of the woods near Narooma so keep an eye on happenings over the next few weeks. It was a bit to late for me to suss out the area so I am going to take a newbie who actually has joined the forum but not made his presence felt yet but time will tell. :) :) :)
.
May there be many more happy moments when we meetup again and above all,
.
Keep the dream alive folk's and in the not to distant future we plus others will meet in face again.
.
Gold Target and DWT, I take a few weeks off fishing over in SA and next time I go, You guy's are in the firing line. I have relo's on my Mum's side the Grimmetts who still live in Tarnagulla and Larnacourie so it is only a small world my friends.

Cheers and how did you know I have big ears. PMSL
.

SA fishing offshore ? Damn you sir for putting fanciful notions in my mind. Got stuck out for an extra day once that turned a 3 day trip into 4 days. Whilst everyone else on charter was hurling the boat owner/skipper and I were in deep sea fish heaven. Bagged an extra 50 fish that day on my rod that trip. The other 3 green gills have never truly forgiven me. Must go back one day.
