Geezzz... i came in here to get away from that sort of thread in the RC Heli & Multi forums. HA! Some of these can cost $10K+ (some specialist units upwards to $50K+) especially when ya talking Turbine Scale models and Multi's with RED Cameras for studio like Video & Photography work.

1.4 - 1.8 meter diameter rotors travelling ~ 350 mph and can take ya head off, but still some will maintain they are TOYS!!!!

Tell her to "Git Outta Here" and lay some Gold nuggets across her palm, she'll wake up & come around.

Hi guys,
I just felt like starting this post to make sure I'm just like most other people out there..
I'm 34 as is my partner of about 8 years, almost a year ago we put everything we had into finishing off a new house on her fathers 120 acres so things are a bit tight at the moment so once a month or so we like to relieve our frustrations by pointing out what unnecessary items the other is buying in a tone suited to the $amount spent.
Anyway It normally goes in one ear out the other and I have an early night and all is forgotten in the morning.
Well it's rego time for the 4x4 so partners cracking a ***** about that, the blame was shifted back and forward till the Metal detecter was brought up..
I said at least it makes money!
She replied the Metal Detector is just a Toy!!

I had this hart felt reaction like a doctor saying we are going to remove your Balls!
I laughed at first, then went silent and I'm now still absorbing what she said..

Tell her there's worse things then a metal detector, you could be at a pub every day after work punting and drinking. Atleast a metal detector is a set amount of money that is a investment instead of pissing it up a wall like most people... :D

Lol

I bought my md and managed to dodge that bullet by finding a half penny in the yard.
She saw I was stoked and all was well.

Then I bought a pinpointer. That was a little harder but $13 in coins from the park and a small gift smoothed that over.

Now I have ordered a digging tool and the rates just arrived.

I expect a similar conversation to that of Dan in the coming days. It's the waiting that's killing me.

Btw let me know if your up in Yeppoon Dan.

lol Ramjet, i told my partner i am taking my detector when we go to tamworth for her sisters wedding, she said that is ok as long as i turn up for the wedding, i said yeah maybe lol, i think we might be the lucky few
