Went to hospital last week, chest tightness, dizziness, sweating madly. All my bloods came back good, however I may have high blood pressure. Did the dreaded stress test today, and for my age, my fitness is exactly where it should be :) Before I bought the aldi, I tired so easily, and sat around too much. Metal detecting has turned it all around, best exercise for me it seems :) Back to the docs tomorrow, get this blood pressure sorted.

Good luck rocketaroo,
I went through the same thing 4 or 5 years ago and I thought the stress test was far more dangerous.
I'm good now and it sounds like you will be to mate :D
Cheers Steve

I told ya it'd be fine. Glad you are OK. Just think how good the wet soil will be for picking up those Florins :D Easier digging too. Of course it needs to stop raining first. Was so tempted to go between showers today.

Me too Grub. Got the defib, now I'm laughing. Problem is I cant get the Mrs inspired so I don't get out anywhere near as much as I'd like. But get this! The last trip was interrupted by an accident at home so we came home very early [only a couple of days into a month long stint]. The Mrs knows I'm not happy that I missed out on the stay for a few weeks, so last night she said, "when we go to Lake Eildon, maybe we can stay on for a couple of MONTHS...........YES! Communication, its a wonderful thing.

And Rocketaroo, those stress test are murder. My cardiologist set me up, and kept me going......and going.........and going. Thought he was going to kil me then and there. Good thing was I was in the right place if it happened with all the stuff they've got to bring you back !!!!!!!!!

Thanks, it seems the stress test is bad for some. My dad was an ambo, and he said it near killed him. I didnt enjoy it, but it wasnt bad either.

Is that the inclining tread mill type gadget.? All wired up (to machines that go ping  ) etc
My youngest son was born with major heart defect( transposition of the great arteries)
Has had 4 open heart ops
He just turned 19 last week
He has regular appointments and has to do it regularly... Rekons its more strenuous than anything he ever does day to day
I get exhausted just watching him

Yep, it gets a massive incline of it...at the end it was like full on powerwalking up a steep hill. Had a box, and a ton of wires hanging off me. Hope your son enjoys a healthy life, so many big ops at his age!

Rocket, sounds like a virus to me if everything came back normal. Some can leave you spaced out, sweating, feeling wierd for a few days.

Always best to get to the hospital when the chest is affected though.

Careful if they prescribe blood pressure meds and you take them. A mate had that happen, he stood up to fast one morning fainted from low blood pressure, banged his head and now he gets siezures from the brain injury he suffered as a result of the head injury, he is on anti siezure meds for life now.

Hope everything works out for you.
