Ain't nothing wrong with Tot Lots I got $300.00 this year & have been out injured for half that. & some pre decimal.

Playgrounds back in WA where great, here in Tasmania they seem to use wood pulp instead of the nice white sand. so not finding much in coins on the wood pulp here. I dont use tot lot word, that is american slang we Aussies so i just call them playgrounds.

I'm in Victoria most of the playgrounds here are that tan bark stuff easy to dig & detect. I have noticed that a lot of the newer playgrounds they are using alloy play equipment & that compacted rubber so they are as good. the older treated pine equipment is much better as you can detect all the way to the edge of equipment.

yeah found that out as well dave alot of the playgrounds here are rubberised

Even those can be good the coins roll of the rubber get lost at the edges.
