first time out with my new toy (SDC). I am very impressed with its capabilities. Went back to some of my old patches I've hit pretty hard with the 5000 and there seem to be more patches there now. Just over a gram in subies. Don't know what is in the rock yet but looks promising. :D

Hey ChukyBoy.
Nice finds with the SDC. I'm so jealous. How often are you getting out?
Have you still got your 5000 or did you trade it in or sell it to get the SDC?
I'm most curious as I'm not having much luck with the 4500 and been considering the SDC.
What is your opinion of the SDC V 5000 now you've used both? By the looks of it you are having more success and more fun with the SDC. I'm sure many others are considering the same question and would be interested in your take on things. Cheers Dig'n-it aka Andy from Creswick weekend :)

found this little sucker in an old patch with the new 11" elite, only got one piece of gold but managed to pull another three bits of junk and this in an area 3 x 3 meters where Ive pulled many bits before. Think its just being able to run higher gains and lower stab to cut through the noise. def my new all the time coil.

G'day Golddigg
Last time we met at Creswick you were raving about the new 14" Elite. Do you find the 11" better?
Cheers Dig'n-it aka Andy from Creswick weekend :)

gday Andy, did you buy that lottery ticket? hope your luck has continued mate.

To be honest I was reluctant judge the coil against the 14 as i expected the same really and that's what ive heard form alot of other blokes around the traps,
"same as the 14 just smaller".
I actually doubt it alot of blokes who bought it have used it exclusively for a few days because ive found it to be a completely new coil which runs amazingly well in General which allows more depth and better mid range detection. Biggest learning curve is the massive overload response you get with this coil, it can really blow your ears off when using headphones, bit like the sdc.
The 14 i would run in deep and it was super sensitive on the small stuff, i didn't see any improvement in depth by running in deep with the 11 and i was able to crank things right up in general so so yep this is my new favorite :) but if i'm in an area with clear ground and want to cover a large area quickly i'll use the 14.

this is the junk i put in my pocket, i dont put rusty things or nails/wire in my pocket they go in the nearest tree stump or shaft, but the lead on the right and the button were both around 30 cm so it will get big gold no problem, the gold on the left was all got in this patch (3 x 3 mt max )

Golddigg. No luck with the lottery ticket but I'm still vertical and breathing ..... So all is good in the world.
Thanks for the comparison on the 11 & 14. Very interesting.
And nice bits of gold. Good work.
Cheers
