Whilst they are too small to be detected by the 4500 (total gold in the pic from 10 rocks is probably ~ 0.05g - using USB microscope), it does show that some of the hot rocks that I found are in gold producing ground.
It's amazing that even these specs look like some nuggets 100 times larger.
