Dig'n-it, Well done with that haul! You beat us by one. You've nailed Inglewood.

No idea how those cancer sticks got in there ;)

2 half days and 1 full day (day 2) out there Scotty, but found all gold on day 2. The groat (four pence) was on day 1 in a rock mullock heap. Didn't know what it was until I researched it that afternoon. Not even a brass razoo on the final day tho.

Thanks Dig'n-it. Just on 4 gm. Dug loads and loads of lead though. Probably 5 times the amount of rubbish in BigWaves pic.

Looks like you did alright as well. Love the buckle as well.

BigWave: well done on the gold. I would have been happy just to get the coin lol.

I just discovered a British Registry Design Number (A diamond shape with letters and numbers at each corner) on the back of the Englands Cricketers relic dating it to between 1842 and 1867 ....... I need to give it a better clean and magnify it to identify the year symbol ..... looks a bit like an A which makes it 1845 ...... will do this tonight and let you know. It also has a makers mark and the word PATENT on it ..... its exciting trying to work it out. Back to work now, more later tonight. :p

Hi guy's I am loving the Z it is like a big brother to the SDC, I have found using a SDC running hot has helped me become accustomed to the noises the Z makes. So I have found the warbles burps and farts no issues at all. Took it out on the weekend mainly spent the time playing with different settings on every target I found before digging noting the differences. I cannot believe the sensitivity to the small stuff at depth pulled a .02 @ 3 inches, I will post photos soon. On the way home I went to a patch I found in Creswick with the SDC and managed to pull another 5 pieces from it. So after my first decent time with the Z I give it the thumbs up to the point that I am selling the SDC.

TH, Selling the SDC really is a thumbs up for the Zed! 0.02 at 3" is amazing. I pulled a 0.07g at 2" and really struggled with that on my 4500. Sounds like you're going to nail the West!

Here is the Cricket Belt Buckle after a spit and polish. It is made of bronze and definitely dated to 1845. It's makers mark above the diamond and above the word PATENT is B&G. You can probably just see an I and an A at the top of the diamond where the I identifies the Class as metal and the A the year as 1845. You can see small top and bottom lugs where the belt loop has broken off, and in the center which you probably can't see, but I can, a rough spot where the buckle pin would have been. How cool! Just imagine the story behind this. Cheers

Thanks all for your comments on the buckle.
BigWave your 1854 Four Pence has to be a contender for find of the month. It's got my vote. ;)
Scrounger, that's a bit harsh. But probably spot on. :D
