Looks like there could be a slice or 2 in there worth having a go with. I've seen bombs from there pushing upward of 1000ct, the size of mandarins.

The coloured layers almost look like 3 different pieces glued together.
It's truly a beautiful stone mate. A great find.

I'm pretty much with you Wally to be honest. But everyone who is more experienced than me says I should slice it and hope I get something out of it. Maybe I'll hold it until I find a better specimen and more knowledge and experience.

A mate showed me a stone he found around the same size too, it had 3 stripes of colour, yellow green and blue, he wasn't very keen on cutting it either, said it was way more impressive left as a specimen. It was from Inverell.
