Nothing wrong with that mate, that's a decent showing. Whatever your doing is working! Good share, can't wait to see the next result.

I went up to Reedy Creek for the day yesterday. Was there for about 6-7 hours. Didnt really know where to dig as every pan showed colour so just moved around a bit digging several locations.

I had heard that the gold is fine up that way but wow. Half my gold was floating whilst I was taking care of the cons. And tons of black sand which made cleaning the cons a right pain the the ass.

All in all it was a great day (besides the sunburn) and I'm keen to go back and maybe camp out for a night or two.

Not the greatest haul considering the time I put in, but I'm happy nonetheless.

PotOfGold,

That looks like a good days panning to me. Its tough going. Results will improve when you truly understand where the gold lies in the creek, river.

POG, Reedy creek can be a tough dig. Not to long ago a bloke pulled 13 grams for two days. All flour but good gold. A few regulars have posted, the best thing about the place is the certainty, the downside can be volume. I dug at a very juicy crevice on my trip home, glass a few inches down, 15 pellets to a pan a few inches more, and didn't do any better out of that hole than any where else along the creek. If I did that locally, picked the right spot and had those indications that the heavies would be there then better gold would come. I think due to the nature of the gold there volume is key.

You got a good showing of color. You can be well proud. Good share.

Here are some photos of our trip to Adelong.

The gold here is a bit larger than beechworth gold but the amount of black sand is insane its everywhere in the creek, didn't get the banker out just scooped behind some rocks and panned. We got this from the creek beside the caravan park, Also panned out a 1914 threepence.

Might have to stick with reedy ck as it's easier to find, not much access to Adelong ck unless you do some door knocking.

Hi all, did some mods to the high banker & wanted to test it out. Also got a 5hp honda/Davey pump to supply me with the tons of water to blast clay.
New (to me) spot & was happy with result & will b back for a better crack once it cools down n there's more water around. Recirculating water from stagnant sections of creek sucks.

Nice gold guys, I was starting to think no one was digging holes. Good to see some colour flowing.

Please keep it up as I have been subject to family commitments and need your golden photos to keep the dream alive. :p
