I reckon it's probably the best pay dirt on the market, but damn difficult to pan because of its heavy tin content (even worse than iron).

Hi All

Got bored with the lock down here in Vic, bought a Mapp gas torch to melt down my little bottle of panned and sluiced gold.

Pleasantly surprised at the total.

Hey Steve, some nice looking pieces there, not real smooth either. Do you have a detector. The SDC 2300 would pick up most of what you found there. By the way - do you have vanilla beans curing at the moment ?

Thanks Josey, these finds came from directly underneath an old hard rock gold mine, so I guess that explains how rough they are. I do have an SDC2300, but wasn't using it that day, honestly didn't expect to find any pickers.

Finally got out to mitchells creek sunny corning for the first time today. Went out with Aussie Chris for a few hours and managed to find some color while out there. This was a quick clean up to see what was in the cons.

As soon as I got home I could not help myself I just had to get stuck into it

I did what I did last time

Set up all ready

I was pulling picker's out of it while I was sorting through it

This is the first pan

Very pleased

I will pan it all back out again what is left as it help with the panning skills

Plus you just never no what you might of missed first time round

I am very pleased with the amount of gold that came out of a little bag of paydirt from Golden Spears :Y:

well I'll be damned, was only a matter of time I guess!

If anyones interested I've got 20L buckets full of river wash from out back here, $10 a pop, no guarantee to have gold but sure as hell would have some trout, cod and possibly cray shite in it, great fertiliser

I've also got some country fresh air for sale, $5 for a mid sized ballon full

And if your really keen I'll sell you some cow shite, guaranteed to emit methane, great for starting camp fires

I did the second panning. On the paydirt today and only found 4 Speck's of gold all the size of a end of the sharp point of a needle

So feel my panning skills are OK :goldpan:
