You're right about it being the most prospected area in the district, if not the state even so it's a pleasant area and usually produces something ........ and provides lots of opportunity for a chat with the hoards that camp there every weekend.
I get out there reasonably often, son & DIL live nearby, knowing it's been so bashed about that not even the gold knows where it should be.
Working on some research of the area for a non gold outing, might catch up to see your highbanker in action sometime, or somewhere else if you don't use it there, classifying and sluicing is fine for relaxation but my results become embarrassing when the wife sees some of the other results.

Is this area in the Lachlan Fold Belt by any chance? sorry I dont know NSW that well, looking at your photos looks like granite i'd say you've got plenty of ground to cover good luck
