Thanks cando In the end i decided not to kill 2 birds with one stone. Getting a 705 for coin and relics and to introduce myself to the detecting game . then save up for a sdc 2300 at some point down the road for the gold.

Done Had my first highbanker 3/4 built . Now its just sitting in the shed gathering webs :N: Fingers crossed ill be able to break it in one day !

Plenty of options out there . Make sure you get one that stores your maps for offline use so it's still usable out of mobile range . I use Maverick Pro on android , not sure if it is available for apple ? Try a few free versions until you find one you like and upgrade .
