    DD Leather Bunji Shaft Attachment

Thanks for your post. Got the bunji worked out using PT's method of attachment on the 7000. My wife has something similar to what you suggested under the floor mats. I'll pinch a little in case a need to make any changes. Thanks.

    DD Leather Bunji Shaft Attachment

Tried your set-up PT and it works well. Just a small adjustment needed for the 2 coils I use. Thanks again for the info.

    DD Leather Bunji Shaft Attachment

Thanks for your reply Hawkear. A zip tie does work with my current set-up using the 6mm bunji that came with the 7k. I need to get an 8mm bunji and my gut feeling is that a velcro attachment would slip as does my temporary set-up without a tie.Trying to keep it simple without the cable ties if...

    DD Leather Bunji Shaft Attachment

Thanks for your reply. I have an existing bunji and the attachment on the shaft slowly slips up the shaft over time. The shaft attachment was my major concern. I haven't used a velcro attachment before. Your set-up is very similar to what I have.

    DD Leather Bunji Shaft Attachment

Looking at getting a DD Leather bunji cord with a velcro shaft attachment for my GPZ 7000. Does it stay put or does it need regular adjustment? I am not using a 19" coil. What is your experience? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I did read that some find HY a bit too "busy" and prefer the general setting. I will keep using HY difficult as I have been and follow your lead if and when I get onto a patch. Thanks again.

Hi Davent. Only just read your post. Like the 7k still trying to work the forum out. Your post reinforces my choices at this point with the 7k and 12"NF. Maybe a silly question but do you use High Yield much or at all with the 12". I am trying to find new ground and are limited to the 12"NF for...

Great info thanks M. The whole thing I guess is a trade off for me. Extended hours detecting and comfort vs a little extra depth. Metal in my boots and ankle also make the 14" problematic at the moment. Interested to find out more about using the ML14" coil for patch hunting in the future from...

Just back from breaking in the new 7k. A couple of days getting to know it then 6 days of serious detecting. Able to average 6 hours a day with the NF 12 inch coil. I found it impressive that picking up signals in High Yield outside the extremities of the coil was not unusual. Most targets were...

    GPX6000 Coils, Opinions Sought

I think what swung me toward the 7000 was trying to detect highly mineralised ground with the 6000 knowing gold was under my feet and not being able to detect it and have to walk away. The NF 12" coil being available for the 7000 was the clincher. The 6000 was a great way to understand what...

Good info thanks Davent. Just came home with a new zed and NF 12". 6000 gone and I will miss it. Can only use 1 detector a time though. Thanks again to everyone for your posts. It was really helpful.

Thanks for feedback. I am looking to go GPZ7000 with NF 12" to start. Sounds like the right choice. Do you run 2 batteries?

Great feedback regarding the coils. Chasing false signals is tiring especially in hard clay and is one thing I am certainly trying to avoid. It can take the fun out of detecting. Swinging the detector is the easy part in comparison. Thanks again.

Thanks for your feedback. That is good to hear. It gives me an alternative if the standard coil is not working out for me. Agree fully with your final words of wisdom.

Thanks Mountaineer. Your help has been invaluable. I am feeling more positive about the weight issue and are looking at coil options to keep weight down a little without compromising the overall efficiency of the 7000, if that is possible. Detecting less hours per day and getting better results...
