    Photos from the bush

Yep, the tucker is too upmarket for me, but each to their own, and I bet that getting out was good. Rob P.

    Today I MADE

It is amusing to see how our interests and activities change as we move through life. As a teenager, I would build crystal sets and even made one that fitted onto the headphone I used so could be worn while working around. That led me into the PMG (like Jaros, I was a few years ahead of him)...

    Today I BOUGHT

I have had the small Silky (I think it is called a Pocketboy), in my pack for several years, "just in case" and the Silky's are all great cutters. Some people have trouble adapting to the pull cutting stroke, but I am fine with it. I may look for one of the larger ones as a vehicle tool, but I...

    Voltbox

Even without the good followup checking by Jaros, I wouldn't have touched this with a 40 foot barge pole. Even using expressions of "savings of up to 90%" is a red flag, as 0 is less than 90%. Rob P.

    Today I MADE

Not bad for the price, but I usually still stick to AM stations. AM/FM kits go for <$10 to >$100. Perhaps I will go back to my crystal set days with a piece of Galena and a wisker. I would walk around with one that I built into a pair of earphones when I was a kid. Rob P.

    Today I COOKED.

If I was there and had access to it, that wouldn't last long. Rob P.

VEGE PATCH. What's growing in yours?

I always thought that Silverbeet had white stems, and that is where the "Silver" came from, but now it seems that there are all different colours and I have several varieties in my patch. Rob P.

    Today I BOUGHT

I purchased a separate set of Torx as they are used everywhere on the Sprinter. So maybe you will need them for the next vehicle that you get! Rob P.

Any one for a Game of Cricket

The country looks like the West Pilbara, but then the red rock is just about everywhere in the NW. I am thinking that perhaps it was a wartime, airbase. Rob P

    Earthquakes Australia

I have been there many times for work, but can't it is a place that I would choose to go to. I have a few stories from the trips, but none that I choose to post here. Rob P.

Looking for ideas from the mechanically minded

I was waiting/looking for a pic of the young girl having grown up. Maybe not enough water on her patch. Rob P.

    Podcasts anyone?

I also use YouTube, mainly people making/doing things that I may be able to do in all the lockdown we have had - - Restoring axes, making knives, sharpening things, garden stuff, ............. Then there is the stuff that you can't do like - travelling places (even O/S), hiking & camping...

    Whinge of the day thread...

I too am an old single bloke and this may be an answer to help you. Get a PowerPal device that reads your power use and records it into your smartphone (if you have one). https://www.powerpal.net/ I got mine for free and it helps to understand what is using the power around the home, when...

    Running Microwave from Inverter.

Here is the link, but it seems that they are no longer available. It only uses 54W, so takes a while to warm stuff up. Not really just a pie warmer, but that is what I use it for. https://www.winningappliances.com.au/p/sunbeam-golunch-food-warmer-hp3000t I found this 12V / 150W one on the 'net...
