    Legend Users Feedback

And in this one, he demonstrates the Adjustable Iron Filter (bias), and the new Pitch (VCO) Audio option. Pitch Audio allows the Legend to have a tone modulated audio in Disc modes, like the 2-tone modes (and others) in several of their previous machines.

    Legend Users Feedback

So the Legend has a new software version that is currently being tested. Here's a good video that demonstrates a few of the new features: 1. Adjustable audio Gain (controls how much volume modulation you get between shallow and deep targets) 2. Audio Mute 3. Simultaneous Audio - allows you...

GPX 6000 using the 14DD in cancel question

Yes, for detecting in EMI areas and under powerlines, the 6000 with 14" DD is the most sensitive option on the market. 5000 can't match the 2300 and 7000 on fine specimens regardless of coil - it's just a limitation of the PI technology and timings that are in there. And SDC and 7000 both don't...

GPX6000 - Tips, Tricks, Settings, Accessories & Other Notable Findings

6000 optional wireless headphones. I have now used both the Nokta Legend wireless headphones and the Quest Bluetooth headphones on the 6000 and both work great. Both are very comfortable, and sound wise very comparable. If you have largish ears, the Quest's are probably the better option. Both...

    SDC Experience

Some of the deepest SDC targets I found when running Sensitivity 1. With a smooth threshold my brain attention perks up, and is alerted by the tiniest of variations. SDC gives more volume on higher Sensitivity settings, so maybe that is the appeal? But if you are running good headphones and/or...

Keen to hear from anyone who's used the Legend. What's your thoughts? What software are you running? What coil do you like? Any cool finds so far?

    Cleaning spendable coins

If you are finding that many coins that you are wearing your thumb print off, well.... I guess that's a good day out. Same as when your body aches after a day digging in the goldfields, whether you found gold or not, at least you know you gave it a good crack!

GPX4500 Coil choice for wet ground

Ground is a funny thing. If the ground is positively mineralised, i.e. lots of iron, or thick red clay, then a larger (less sensitive) coil will run quieter. But if the ground has any salt in it, moisture will enhance its conductive nature, and in this case a smaller coil will actually run...

    GPZ7000: Info, Tips, Finds

Just because I wanted to go for a bit of a walk in some open ground adjacent to some diggings, and thought the bigger coil will give me a little more coverage.

    Cleaning spendable coins

If you find them like that in wet sand, the best thing you can do is grab some wet sand from the bottom of the hole and rub the coin with it. You'll be surprised how easily a lot of the crap comes off while the coin is still fresh. Once they dry it's a lot harder to clean.

    New Gold Finder 2000

Kof said: "Tried my impact stand but won't stay put ." The Impact stand is designed to fit on the section of shaft between the armrest and handle on the Impact. This section is all moulded on the Anfibio and Gold Finder 2000, so the stand will go on but it stretches out too far and you can't...

    How to go about research?

Saau, not sure who you are but I don't do tag a long tours, or prospecting trips. I don't have the time, and there is also the expectation of finding gold which I can't guarantee. So my training sessions are purely instructional. As they are usually 1 on 1, I leave it to the trainee to tell me...

Aftermarket Coils for the GPX 6000 - Nugget Finder

Different coils for different soils. WA dirt is generally a lot hotter than where I spend most of my time. There are still some really noisy patches here where the spiral/flat wound coils suffer, especially when the ground is wet. The 6000 can also suffer in these bad spots. GPZ handles it a...
