AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Even if he did use ID as discrim at that level it could only work if the shot size was consistent to get a constant shot ID and if the nuggets all IDed different enough. If the shot size varies ( the usual) and the gold size and shape varies ( always) then the using ID as discrim for shot...

    Access to the Palmer River?

It really depends on how much you love your Forester. If it is a show pony then it wont be by the time you get back. Not saying it will be trashed but whilst Whites Road to Palmerville Gold is a public road and the Forester will manage it ok, once you are there then it will be quite...

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

A pleasant unexpected surprise in the mail today from Algoforce - the new version of their USB powerpack holder. The front lip is 5.5mm high vs 2.5mm for the old one & the original straps now have no problem holding my rounded edge powerpack firmly in place. Kudos to Algoforce for their...

WA Western Australia Information and Questions

But dont forget that to apply for an 40E you need to drive back out & go to the "local"mining registrar or at least find somewhere with an internet signal and that after you apply that you still cannot access that land for 21 Days. This is to allow the leaseholder the opportunity to assess &...

    MINELAB on a budget

It is a pity the Algoforce AF1500 is currently sold sans coil ( and is sold out :) ). If a newbie didnt have to worry about buying a coil separately ( no biggie for experienced detectorists but a bridge too far for your 1st detector) then it would be easy to recommend it as it is no harder to...

    gold kruzer

For me it is 70% GK24 30% GK19. GK24 for reasonably trashy spots and the GK19 for the super trashy spots & rocky creeks. That ratio doesnt do justice to the GK19 though -it is a great coil. Being a DD the GK19 (7.5 x 4) has each winding only 2.5" wide !! That really concentrates the...

    gold kruzer

I LOVE how quiet my GKruzer is compared with my EQ800, especially in mineralised ground. OK it is not PI quiet but it aint bad. Also v happy with depth on GKruzer but with comparable size coil the EQ800 has noticeably more depth when the ground is better.

    2024 Clermont??

Regarding Clermont, The caravan park in town, the Theresa Ck Dam caravan park and ML1870 are the only legal places to camp. Blackridge GPA is a very grey area - It used to be ok for very short stay but I think it is now illegal but not policed. Theresa Ck Dam is very nice but too far...

    2024 Clermont??

Lake Fred at Mt Hogan is a lovely place to camp and Karon is very helpful but you will need to bring EVERYTHING including drinking water & toilet. It used to be a popular place for the CQ Detecting Club (Rockhampton) annual outing but I think that lack of amenities and the usual reduction...

GM 1000 vs. Nokta Gold Kruzer vs. 24k

I have a Gold Kruzer and have used a GM1000. With the 7.5x4.5DD coil the Gold Kruzer will find anything that a GM will and it handles mineralisation better. It is also more adjustable so as you get more experience it grows with you. GM is set and forget which is nice at times but frustrating...

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Yes, it is a very minor issue and I sorted mine with a bit of double sided velcro sticky tape. Alex ( Algoforce director) advised me they are already onto it and will sort it. Cant ask more than that !

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

I think it is to hold the powerpack securely back since the velcro straps can let it slip forward over the retaining lip if not super tight

How much does it cost in fuel to drive to Kalgoorlie, for you?

I get a full 1 litre/100km improvement by going from 30 to 40psi in the Prado but you def notice the bumps more and def need to drop to 25psi when you hit real dirt or you will rattle your car to bits
