    Hey dukes either machine is solid. The45 is every bit capable and you may find one 100 bucks cheaper than a 5. 12inch round nugget finder is a good alrounder, stays quiet in most states I've used it. But don't disregard the minelab coils either, they have their use!

    If you know it's 1.5 down better get out a shovel dig a few holes test pan in 1 foot increments. Take notes then detect the area. Might take you 6 weeks or more but least you'll know. Look for changes in the earth and repeat. Hope you got time on your hands
