G'day guys and girls, I'm thinking about taking my highbanker out for the first time this Sunday coming. Any suggestions where a newbie should head this time of year here in Victoria?

Yeah absolutely mate. I just didn't want to cut them until I had some camlocks/joiners and until I had checked out where I'm going to take the bad boy. I will definitely shorten the hoses though and your 7m, 13m and 20m combinations seem like a good idea mate.

I just set up my highbanker and ran it for the first time to see how it goes and as far as I can see, not bad at all. I'll need to get some camlocks for the pump and hoses, but other than that I think it's ok. For those that have a bit more experience than me, does it look like there's enough...

Cheers mate, I absolutely loved putting together. As for the mesh, here's a photo of it directly above. If it's in backwards, it's better to know now then when I'm out feeding it. Everything's fixable and we live and learn. Cheers for the feedback mate.

Finally finished my version of the Walbanker today. Externally a little different but the internals are the same apart from being a touch wider. Absolutely loved putting this thing together and can't wait to take it out and start feeding it. Once I get my supply hose delivered I'll set it up...

Well take your sheet size, minus what you have used, divide the remaining size by the size I want, then use that number to divide what you paid for it and that will give you a rough price mate.

Don't know BIGJON, how much is a 500x300 piece worth mate? Paying for freight is no problem. I am talking about the expanded mesh for gold only, is that what you think you may have?

Is this not worth more than an SDC?

Got my custom box delivered from Adelaide today, bought almost everything I need, apart from the bread basket, which I need to suss out my local bakeries next delivery time and the expanded mesh. As for the mesh, tried a few places (stores, scrap metal yard, local building site) with no luck...

I just wish I got into prospecting a little more when I lived in WA. 8.(
