    Reedy Creek, Eldorado.

I'll definitely post some photos of my finds mate, gold and those little coloured stones. In regards to the black sand being concentrated to one side, I was having a bit of trouble keeping the rear legs from sinking to start with. Didn't think it was having too much of an effect, but obviously...

    Reedy Creek, Eldorado.

Yeah absolutely mate. I was really hoping there was some water about so I could at least give the banker a whirl. The gold I did find (don't know exactly how much yet) was a bonus as I wasn't expecting it. Hoping a little, but not expecting. Being able to set up camp so close to the creek and...

    Reedy Creek, Eldorado.

Also, just a quick question regarding the photo below. I noticed after I think it was the first session with the highbanker, that there was more black sand (or less white on top) on the left hand side than the rest of the expanded mesh. Would this be due to the highbanker being on a slight lean...

    Reedy Creek, Eldorado.

So yesterday (Saturday) I made my way down to Reedy Creek, Eldorado, in the hope of finding enough water to use my highbanker for the first time. I had a couple of places in mind, one was not far from Woolshed Falls and the other was a km or two back down stream from the first area. Anyway, on...

Using my highbanker for the first time...

G'day guys and girls, I'm thinking about taking my highbanker out for the first time this Sunday coming. Any suggestions where a newbie should head this time of year here in Victoria?

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

Yeah absolutely mate. I just didn't want to cut them until I had some camlocks/joiners and until I had checked out where I'm going to take the bad boy. I will definitely shorten the hoses though and your 7m, 13m and 20m combinations seem like a good idea mate.

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

Cheers for the feedback Wal. I guess I won't really now how it's going until I get it out in the field and start feeding it.

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

I just set up my highbanker and ran it for the first time to see how it goes and as far as I can see, not bad at all. I'll need to get some camlocks for the pump and hoses, but other than that I think it's ok. For those that have a bit more experience than me, does it look like there's enough...

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

Cheers mate, I absolutely loved putting together. As for the mesh, here's a photo of it directly above. If it's in backwards, it's better to know now then when I'm out feeding it. Everything's fixable and we live and learn. Cheers for the feedback mate.

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

Finally finished my version of the Walbanker today. Externally a little different but the internals are the same apart from being a touch wider. Absolutely loved putting this thing together and can't wait to take it out and start feeding it. Once I get my supply hose delivered I'll set it up...

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

Well take your sheet size, minus what you have used, divide the remaining size by the size I want, then use that number to divide what you paid for it and that will give you a rough price mate.

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

Don't know BIGJON, how much is a 500x300 piece worth mate? Paying for freight is no problem. I am talking about the expanded mesh for gold only, is that what you think you may have?

    Wals' Hi-banker Specifications

Got my custom box delivered from Adelaide today, bought almost everything I need, apart from the bread basket, which I need to suss out my local bakeries next delivery time and the expanded mesh. As for the mesh, tried a few places (stores, scrap metal yard, local building site) with no luck...
