Targets That Sound Similar To Gold

Staples! They sound unbelievably identical to gold. Even more so than lead shot

Garrett AT Max information and questions

camlidd, I jumped in the deep end with no prior knowledge of anything and bought the AT Max thinking all i had to do was get a machine, wave it at the ground and the gold would appear. To be honest it doesn't happen that way. I spent an awful amount of time learning what threshold is, what...

Garrett AT Max information and questions

That is the question my friend! Do some research, you can never do too much. A good place to start is find a place that you can get to that has produced gold, look for what geology the gold has been previously found on and try and identify a pattern. Apply said pattern to the surrounding areas...

Garrett AT Max information and questions

"Custom" is primarily used for coins and basic treasure hunting, it enables you to use notch discrimination which *could* potentially miss gold targets. Its better used for finding iron in my opinion. "Zero" mode is similar to "All Metal" mode in that it will pick up all metals but wont...

Garrett AT Max information and questions

I found the higher the sensitivity the more erratic the machine became, it was driving me insane. With the sensitivity flat out i was digging holes that had no targets in them! It was picking up the mineralisation and when you did come across a target, it was blending into the erratic noises so...

Garrett AT Max information and questions

These were the settings i used: Zero Mode Sensitivity on either 3, 4 or 5 depending on the ground, just try to keep it quiet. No Iron discrimination if you can help it, sometimes i would put the discrimination on 10 just to quieten it up a bit. Thats about it really! :Y:

    garrett at max

Hey camlidd, The Garrett AT Max was the first machine I ever owned, it taught me a lot. I bought the machine to find gold in the W.A goldfields. Pretty simple machine. Turn it on, press the mode button until its on "zero", get the threshold right , turn down the sensitivity to around 4 or 5...

Here is a cracka. Damn Coolgardie, damn the track Damn it there and damn it back Damn the country, damn the weather Damn Coolgardie altogether Apparently the old timers loved their poetry, I like the insight it brings us of the hardships they faced. They definitely bred them tough

This is my favourite poem of all time. "As I walked out one evening, Walking down Bristol Street, The crowds upon the pavement Were fields of harvest wheat. And down by the brimming river I heard a lover sing Under an arch of the railway: Love has no ending. Ill love you, dear, Ill love...

    coiltek Elite 11" versus coiltek elite 14" x 9"

Old post i know, but I have had a really good experience with the Coiltek 14v9 elite. The best find with it for depth was a 0.4g piece @ 5 inches in mild ground. Overall an excellent choice in my opinion :Y:
