Thank you for accepting me. I'm Shazza (Sharon) and im so happy to have found this forum.
I have wanted to go gold prospecting for the last 30 yrs but never actually had time or knowledge on how to start.
Now I'm ready!
I'm hoping to find a friend on this forum that is like-minded and we can share information and join me on my first expedition.
If your interested in sharing expenses for a 2 week 1st time trial with me, then please respond. I have a great location in mind and are aware of licenses required to begin. I'm looking to hire a metal detector to begin and expand as my experience grows.
I am an easy going lady, I'm solo and good with people.
Please message me if your interested.
Cheers
Shazza

Hiya Shazza and welcome aboard.

What you're seeking isn't impossible but it IS difficult - as you probably already realise, few experienced prospectors want to include novices in their trips, as any hand-holding necessary reduces their own detecting time. The distances involved in WA, the arduous roads/tracks and the lack of any facilities in the field, don't help either - it's tough out there, especially for those unfamiliar with the territory.

There's some relevant discussion in this prior thread:

And here's a recent, somewhat like-minded lady in WA, who you might like to message:

Shazza, we're too busy at the moment for prospecting activities however I think if you were to get your gear together and make it to a caravan park in a town in the goldfields you are likely to connect up with others prospecting in the area. The caravaners seem to be a pretty social group and from what I hear spend a lot of time together either at the park or during daytime prospecting.
