NSW regulations

Gday all looking into buying a claim around lighting ridge nsw before buying a claim what licenses or certificates does one need to obtain. This question has probably been asked a million times my apologies

Thank you so that course is all I need to do and I am able to buy a claim and start diggin! ?

I suggest you ask your Mines Department.

"While a title may be granted or transferred upon application, any new miners intending to operate a mineral claim must attend the Safety Awareness Course before any activities are performed on the mineral claim area.

In addition, the Environmental Awareness Course must be completed, prior to being granted or transferred a claim in Opal Prospecting Area 4 (PDF, 128.94 KB) or on the property 'Wyoming'.

It is now a requirement to nominate a qualified mine operator for all mineral claims."

Pretty much if you buy a claim you can transfer it to your name but can't carry out any activity there until you complete the Opal Mining Safety Workshop (& Environment course if area requires it).
