ON my way up to QLD came across this mine and took some photos for you lot, well worth the walk up the hill. its a self guided tour. on the day it was pushing 35 degrees so i didn't fluff around but next time i'm out that way i'll walk the full 2.4 km tour

Yep i was amazed at the scale... both left and right side of the road looked like they were building sydney harbour out there bloody cranes everywhere

Yeah looks good! they've got there own hwy under a hwy! Iv got family in Coonabarabran and go past quite a bit but it hasn't taken them long to get to the stage it's at'

G'day all

It is also worth looking at the old working there from the 19th Century. The company made them safe and put viewing platforms and paths where you can look down into the old underground openings. Their new mine is just up the road a bit towards Dubbo. Also in the area to the SE of the Peak Hill area is the very large underground copper and gold mine at North Parkes. Well worth a look around.
