Yeah 705. It's awesome once you rtfm. We're negotiating tonight's prospects. In front of canteen or kid pit part 2. Also there's a grass carpark i found and an old abandoned church. The world looks different one you get under the surface lol.

Well in front of the canteen was junk city. Cleaned out the kid pit and went up the side of the soccer field for another 2.50. All up about 6.00. Got the hang to ignore the crappy signals.
Now where's the jewelery and silver lol.

Day 3, $2.10. The first two parks had that foam rubber on the kid pit. Another canteen junk city and up the sides of two soccer fields yielded naught.

One way i have found that works is if you run into a playground grab the kids turn them upside down and shake them, but for some reason the parents get upset
In gold detecting terms this would be called a primary source :D

Well.....I was a bit of a problem child, mate and I at school, used to identify kids with change in their pockets, and dare them to hang upside down on the monkeybars. When they left, we would scoop up the change from the sand :8

Well day 3 was nothing to report. Found foil and cans. Day 4 i dragged out a stack of coins and set up the discrimination. Checked out utube a bit too. Quick scan of the backyard found 4 targets instead of 4000 targets I'll dig em up today.

12 posts already Brian,..... definately didn't happen though if there are no photos, you should be able to submit them now
Cheers

Heh, I'm pretty sure I was wandering around in the dark and cold with a frozen nose digging up foil. I'll do a pic of some coins for you later.
Backyard targets was just crap btw.

coins from the kid pits are really discoloured.

last night - another $4.00, not bad for three hours

The first park, long grass and lots of V bottle tops, coming in at 32-34.

The 2nd park I went to was really hard ground and patchy grass, so nowhere for the goldies to hide. Most of that park was pretty clean, I guess for the same reason as no coinage.

Yep, I find nearly all my goldies, in places where the grass grows thick. But, in old parks, the barren areas are great for shallow pre decs.

Well I wound up the sensitivity to 20 odd

First two parks had fences around so couldn't get in. Kid pit yielded 15c and a star

Third park, hit the kid pit for $1 then found the goldies for another $16 and 50c in about an hour.

the blob in the middle its heavy, so I'm thinking its gold jewellery that's gone lead colored in the dirt. Wife can wear it.

batteries in the 705 finally died, it was acting a bit wobbly at the end.
