Went out this morning to a play ground and disused school grounds.
The coins (totalling $11.15) and some other bits and pieces were located in the play ground, however, the school grounds proved to be a lot harder (to dig) and not much found in the area I covered.
I did manage to pull out an object that I know nothing about. The object opens up and there is some holes inside, similar in size to those in salt and pepper shakers. I can rotate the holes around within the base, but I am not able to remove it - don't want in case I damage it.
There are some words on the lid - Dhaussy Paris France in the centre.
Around the rim I can just make out the following - 1924 PAT. SEPT 1925 BREVETE FRANCE & ETRANGER BREVETE SGDG PAT 1923 N 210417
I hope the photos help. Cheers Monty.
