X-terra 305 & CTX 3030 finds

Hi guys, I am starting up this thread for me and my mate who is also on this forum (Detectorist). We hunt at local parks. I have a 305 and he has the big daddy 3030. This is 3 hours work from today. Just over $46 and a kids ring (says 9ct on the inside) and has a red Ruby or fake Ruby in it. The 305 found the ring.

We are both new to the hobby and typically find 50/50 of the loot. The 3030 is much better at finding the pre deccies and deep coins but the 305 can sniff out goldies really well

Just finished up a 2 hour stint at a local grassy area that had a food & wine festival on the weekend. $40 of gold sunbakers. Was like fishing with dynamite.

305= $19
3030= $21

My 305 started playing up. The buttons keep randomly shutting the unit down instead of going to pinpoint mode. May just be about time for a Equinox upgrade if I can't sort it out...

The 305 has started playing up I think I got water in it.

So I went out and bought a 705 with a 15" DD coil. It sniffed out coins pretty well today. $44 total. Was a tough few hours with that heavy coil though
