Worth Heading To Golden Triangle With XTerra705?

Looking to get away for a couple days with my detector but Im just wondering If its even worth it with the terra 705 to search for gold? Some say it just doesnt work well. I have the 18.75hz dd coil. Ive tried it at local mines near me but really had nothing but trouble using it. False signals and hot rocks one after another and digging holes and finding nothing

I think you answered your own question mate. Maybe hire a SDC 2300 or gpx4500.

The hot ground in the GT may give you a lot of trouble with the 705, as stated higher a SDC you will enjoy your trip and may come home with some gold regards john :Y:

You are setting yourself up for failure and frustration taking it to the goldfields. I am one of the biggest 705 fans out there and use one all the time and refuse to upgrade. But I stick to coin hunting with it. I have tried several times in the gold fields and it is a complete waste of time.
