Cheers grubstake, I've watched a few videos from there just wondering if anyone had been and any advice for the area
Take along a small gold pan and a large amount of patience - flour gold will drive you nuts.

Oh dear. I hate to break it to you, but sadly there's no guaranteed way to fast success in any form of prospecting/fossicking. Even the best modern detector will typically find 100 or more pieces of trash on its way to one piece of gold. And gemstone hunting involves digging endless dirt and rocks to get to the good stuff.
Hopefully you'll learn along the way to have patience. For sure, when you've got a fresh nugget in hand, the toil it took to get to it is easily forgotten.
Hopfully my patience grows the more pans I swirl back with gold in em!
Was out there last week in far from the best weather conditions. The river was high from rain and you had to work hard for anything but there is gold and gemstone if you’re stubborn enough. Nothing spectacular but patience and work pays off.
Well done - the proof is in the pan!
