Which is the better coil choice for a beginner?

Hi all,

I'm a bit unsure as to which coil I should start with on my 4500. I have a commander 11" mono and a NF advantage 12 x 7" elliptical mono. I feel as though the 11" punches a little deeper but it runs a lot noisier than the NF. I mainly searching old digging areas from the creswick Ballarat Doug stone maps.

Both coils are good the I do not think its a matter of what coil is best it a matter of knowing the detector, setting it up right concentrate on what the detector is telling you regard john

Either of those coils will be fine but like john said it is more about learning the machine. Keep your eyes open for an 8" commander mono, awesome coil for working the old diggings.
