Martin,

That's a classic. Ever hear the original from back in 1953 by Amos Milburn? As well as the one by George Thoroughgood, there were great versions by John Lee Hooker and Jimmy Witherspoon, who I saw do it live at the Three Weeds in Rozelle back in the 80's. Even in his 70's he was great.

Yep, saw INXS at the UNSW round house when they were just kicking off, a great live act in those days.

Also the cockroaches at the Newtown Hotel, before they became famous as the Wiggles!

Used to call in at the Sundowner on the outskirts of Geelong after the footy.
$2.00 got you a supper ticket to stay till mednight.
Good price to see ACDC, and were they loud.
$2 got you into most Melbourne pubs to see bands like Chain, Lobby Lloyd, Cold Chisel, Russel Morris
Skyhooks, Kush etc.

I know this bloke, he used to play our local pub every Thursday night. Went to the same school as him. He won the Australian guitarist of the year comp at 16 years of age! He played for Jimmy Barnes, Richard Clapton and many other famous bands. Awesome guitarist, some of best live guitar work I've seen and I've seen a lot of live shows.
