Loved that post evee bee , sooooooo true. I got into detecting because on day i said to the vixen we realy should find a hobby we could both enjoy, well she said she always wanted to search for gold . And the rest they say is history. As far as family history goes my old man was in the airforce at milne bay in new guinea where the allies inflicted the first defeat on land based japanese forces in ww2, eventhough yanky history sais they did it , they had a supporting role. Same for me. It was my dad that got me into it. He bought an sd2000 when they came out. If only he could see how smooth these new detectors run in comparison.
