Maybe not rare but this Influenza Emergency Worker badge from the 1918 outbreak is unusual.

I like your goat that seen some wear in it's time, what is it a 1836? This is what mine looks like.

One of the many that I have. I like the 1 1/2 pence coins more then the goats.

Thanks db, I can't really tell the exact date, but they were only minted between about 1830 and 1837...
That one of yours looks in excellent condition...where abouts did you find that?

Groats have been mint for hundreds of years going back to Elizabeth I and the last was minted in 1888 that I can recall where as the 4 pence maundy coin has been around since 1680 I believe. Found my first one in Sandstone WA and couple in Victoria I think I have about 12 in different conditions. They were discontinued because of the size was to confusing with the threepence and the traders didn't like them. It looks like you are starting to amass quite a collection of old coins.

Sorry, bit of confusion,..when I gave the date range 1830 to 1837 I was referring to the William 4th groat I posted a pic of earlier....Re the old coins, sadly only the silver (and presumably gold) stand a chance of coming out of the ground in half decent condition, with copper ones tending to come out either blank or nearly so..As an example I found the coin below earlier today. It's a Cronebane halfpenny token issued by the Irish Mining Company in 1789. In the hand, you can just see enough detail to ID it, but barely...
