Hi Cheese,
Looking at the shape of it and the discolouration and the oxidation I'd be fairly correct in saying it was a drop sinker, an oldie, by the shape and I am only speaking from experience of my fishing escapades and I'd say it would undoubtedly have had a wire up the middle to attach a fishing line to of some sorts.
The reason the wire is not visible or present is the lead will outlast the wire every time.
Cheers
BJ

Thats 1 over the top fishing sinker, and made upside down
the big hole is at the heavy end?

Yes it was a sinker as I have found another, they must have been pouring lead into the ground to make.
how is the copper nail, its a big 1.

Almost identical to plumb bobs, found in the tilt mechanisms of pinball machines.

I found this 1,
It looks like it goes with the plum bob thing as I notice
the square centers.
I am starting to think the items are from mid, 1800s
weights and measures set ?.
