I don't think so. You can edit a post up to an hour after posting I think. I have different privileges so I can't see what the options are for a regular member. Go to one of your topics and see if there is a delete option?

Yeah I just tried on a post I starded and it has no funnction to close the post or remove it..

only mods, or admins have that permission. Often its obvious why a thread is deleted, sometimes it isnt, and that leaves members scratching.

Yep, a new member might not understand the need to keep such a location quiet, and only extend an invitation to a small select group, if at all. An open invitation to the forum, unfortunately, would probably lead to much more attention than was expected. This is particularly important when he is not the land owner. I would not be surprised if the OP had already got PM's soliciting an invitation, although I hope it did not happen.

I know Brian and I only made our comments in jest.
Later I did try to explain this and add that it was best he go there and just write a report on the forum because many on the forum would be happy to hear of his adventure and see it as an insiration to go out and do something similar for our selves.
