I was reading on the above named post here last night, started by mbasko. It showed the comparison between the GPX 5000 and the GPZ 7000 using minelabs website.
The post appears to have disappeared on both here and the comparison of the two on minelab site.
Did anyone else read this?

Did it mention that the control box was waterproof?
I remember the coil was waterproof, I am not sure about the control box.
Surely the box would have to be!

Application: Gold Prospecting (Waterproof coil to 1m/3ft)
Audio Output:6.3mm (1/4) non waterproof socket, Wi-Stream wireless
Headphones Supplied: KOSS UR 30 100 ohm (non waterproof) and WM12 wireless Module

if it has an audio output socket that is non waterproof then i would say no.

Interesting - I didnt see any "Disclaimer" saying not for public release, information or the spec was publicaly available.

Sorry guys I didn't know if I was breaking any minelab rights after reading there website terms so I asked for my info to be removed just incase. It was kind of strange the details where list on there site but about an hour later there was no info.

Those of us who didn't look at the topic would probably like to know more about whatever info on the GPZ was made available - I know I certainly would.

Mate I don't think you broke any rules. Their employees had a non-disclosure till December 2014 yet they published it well before that date 22nd from memory. I wouldnt worry about it.
