Found all 3 pieces within a few metres of one another.
Found along the coast

maybe a piece of a vugh left behind when the host rock disintergrated, I have seen similar that was a grey agate and you could see that it was definitely part of a vugh, they do look interesting and very fine crystal look about them.

If it was a piece of vugh it wouldnt be magnetic ? This is magnetic. Not a very old hand gun from early 1800`s /1700`s ? Found in sand just off the beach

Need to see the inside of the breaks to have any idea of what it is, bit hard to tell with all the crud covering it. It it just solid rusted metal?

Like silver says the surface on angles is very crystaline. Very fibe minute reflections.
Its magnetic. And i scratched some surface off and got to base metal ? The two tiny pieces of same composition is also slightly magnetised together but only very minute. Its almost magnetised but not strongly. Like it comes and goes. However with my magnet at home it is attracted strongly.

Probably a "Plug" from a lightning strike.
I have seen them before and they can be quite amazing. Just depends on the compostion of the sand when hit.

Where i found it...
Near the ocean but up the dune in the bush. But was very hard to get to. Crawling through horrible dead branches. Then it came to an opening a hollowed out area a few metres in diametre.
Maybe a lightening strike ? Soil composition. Mostly sand, but that darker mixed organix matter sand.
If this was a lightening plug would it be magnetic ?
