Very nice looking lures, what are you making them out of? I had a crack at making lures when i was a teenager some worked some didn't  , I have a mate that likes to make his own Jewy lures
pretty big, but not huge.
we get a few black jew up here, actually heaps, but they dont get as big as southern jew, biggest ive got is 24kg. Biggest southern jew ive got is 20kg, but me mate got one 33kg.
Definitely nice looking lures mate well crafted, that jew of mine is my largest to date went 26kg and i've been smoked by larger ones, we get heaps of schoolies from 6 to 12kg and even the odd mangrove jack, love my fishing mate so i can appreciate your lures
I'm in Port Macquarie long way south, would love to head up that way someday, had a mate quite a few years ago living in the top end he was a very good fishing buddy and a very good rod builder his name was Colin V (lost contact with him about 15yrs ago), he had an uncle that ran a fishing charter business. When he would come back down to visit his family we'd go for a fish and the stories he would tell me were unreal. Never forgot him telling me when he first got there he was using a 3kg bream flicking stick and was getting smoked every second cast on saratoga and everything else that swims up there, not to mention casting at a huge sunken log about 15ft long that had 4 stubby branches and moved    , same bloke would chuck a jitterbug on bass gear when he would hear jewies boofing needless to say he spent a lot on respooling  , Definitely on my bucket list
