When talking old school mining you need to get your head around long tons, short tons, ounces troy to the pound and ounces avipouderros {spelling} to the pound. I have all the conversions in a book but its at work atm so I will get it & post the conversions etc tomorrow. Also old school assaying was done on the assay-ton system which funnily enough is very close to the metric system using parts per million. Even more astounding to me is the fact that the Assay-ton system was/is used in the good old US of A. :|
 
I downloaded a free unit conversion tool from the windows store and it is the greatest , It has two columns and you choose two units and type the figures in either column and hey presto theres the conversion and if you want it in every unit just scroll one column , great tool makes my brain get lazy :)
