A well worded prose .... Was Francis the subject material for H.G.Wells' "The Time Traveller ." ? I do suggest though , that the writer - even in those days - would have been in touch with what people liked to do and wished they could do . The sounds in our lives always contain certain likeable content . One reason I like to go bush is to be able to hear those more basic sounds created by nature , rather than those created by man and the busy city .

I think it is excellent work by ABC Sound Engineer Mark Don. The work itself transports one to the period. Beautiful english " We have certain helps which set to the ear do further the hearing greatly." surly Francis Bacon is speaking of "Earphones" this is 1620

Thats a pretty accurate description for someone from the 1620's of todays technology, definitely a time traveller.

more a visionary mind. Where will we be in 1 million years from now and what technologies will we have?. The Earths life evolution has been interrupted to near extinction more than 5 times, if even 1 of those "near extinctions" had not have happened, then intelligent life either would not have happened, or, it would be millions of years more advanced (evolutionarily speaking) then we are today. long story short, we are still monkeys in light of the universal time scale. intelligent life could have existed over 10 billion years ago!! We as humans were tree dwelling mammals only 3.7 million years ago. look at the advertisement on ur bottom right...Im fine!, with blood staining on the side. We are milliseconds from our animal instincts on a evolutionary timescale.

Interesting theory. I believe many technologies are hidden from we, the masses by the hierarchy. for example,we are still using fossil fuels and expensive electricity because it is immensely profitable for those that control these resources. it is not about what is best for humanity and the planet. like-wise starvation, lack of drinking water,
preventable diseases. and so on. hardly the attributes of a civilised,evolved society. pass a banana.
