Want to get into gold hunting

I'm looking to get into gold hunting. I'm in South Australia. I have looked at the equinox 800 there are so many different reviews and I don't really know what to go for. My budget is $1500. Any advice is appreciated

Don't buy a VLF, due to cost, buy a PI machine of some sort, it will serve you well in Australia with its hot soils. Perhaps a GPX4000, or a GP Extreme, The technology is much better in the GPX series.

Welcome as above $1500 second hand 2200,extreme,3000,or 3500 or 4000 if you are lucky but 3500 are a good choice regards john erfect:
