Does make you wonder how many valuable coins had originally been lost on dirt streets pre-aspalt, especially outside all the old inns/pubs. Surely would have been a few gold coins lost by drunkards. Good when you can find a small undetected area overlooked by others, many of them are in plain site and often ignored.
I know you will give it your best shot Wally.
I would like to be able to get under some of those old wooden floors at The Rocks, that would be magic.

Went for another swing while No.1 lad had soccer practice. Decided to run the NoX in my quick kill - good stuff programme to see if I could identify a new, old patch.
The walk across the grass car parking areas was slowed down with gold and copper, with one out of place head amongst them. Once the fuel account was topped up, I made my way to a more remote part of the reserve and sniffed out my first silver sixpence and was pleased to hit a couple of others within a 20m area before the lad came to remind me we had to head home. :8
Happy to report that a young lady made its way into my pouch. the other side will need a clean before it is presentable, but I can say that it comes from the year that Karl Benz patents the first successful gasoline-driven automobile, the Benz Patent-Motorwagen.
