Normally I'd write something stupid or what tickles my funny bone but I'm semi speechless at the moment. Two gentlemen and a lovely young girl just turned up with this lot.

Just pushed it all off quickly so they could get away (from Esperance). Now to stack it all

Sure is something special when people you haven't a clue who they are drop in with a gift like that    :perfect: People in the fire affected areas are receiving the most support but it sure is great to see those affected by drought are being looked after too. These are some of the deeds that makes this country proud and what it means to be an Australian. Really happy for you Steve and all the stock at Erliston

IT does feel good grubstake ,for the last 12 months i have been putting money in my sister's bank account and she put's it in the tin with other donation's,for food parcels and hay for the farmers in south east gippsland ,been in severe drought last few years ,the group she volunteer's for are working two 8 hour shifts packing food parcels for the people who are caught in the fires and the drought, she said a semi turns up about every hour full of donated food, some very nice people have lent them a large warehouse because their shed was too small  and to all of the volunteer's

Thanks folks...was a very humbling experience today. 72 big rectangle bales and two large round ones all donated plus the cartage.

I just went through the care package and it's full of homemade biscuits, jams, chutneys, honey, a pair of socks, riggers gloves, sun screen, chapsticks, even home made soap. All the homemade biscuits included the recipe.
All had lovely little notes, some with just a first name others with nothing. People doing it not for recognition or praise, just because they are good people.

I took the first bale out this afternoon to a close by well, had a trail of cattle following me who now think I am Jehovah!

You pair are always welcome, I have your chairs plus Carols EMPTY cake tin. Have been wanting to get over to you and drop it off but I just can't get away unfortunately.

Steve that is awesome to see you got some of the hay. I know a few of the farmers that donated this hay. I also know a few of the truck drivers that took part in this. It's hard to tell by the photo but the western star may belong to a person I know. If it had blue stripes down the side it's it. Enjoy the food and hopefully the stock enjoy the hay.

Real australian spirit at its best. So glad that people are still thinking about drought relief since the fire devastation.
Just make sure steve that that was not delivered to keep the camels well fed and other stock deprived.
