I don't think the rest of Australia thinks the same thing about Victoria at the moment

It is also called "on the move" well the reports are that is happening,my daugter tells me she saw so many caravans heading out of Melbourne tonight, they perhaps locking down in the bush. :D

I said a while back we should establish quarantine around Melbourne. Probably too late now at least for the rest of Victoria and potentially other states. This whole thing has shown us the importance of going hard and going early. Not just because its a good way to control the Virus but because we now know t's much much cheaper. As a South Australian it's always tempting to snipe at a Vic as they seem to forget we even exist and laugh at Adelaides comparatively slow economic/population growth compared to Melbourne but there is no sport in it while they are down like this.

It's incompetence on both sides of the border, should have been shut 2 weeks ago.

Was driving to the shops yesterday and was driving behind a mini bus with VIC number plates, I was imagining little virus particles spreading out of the bus all over the area, onto my car and that the occupants were like virus spreading zombies, errr nah not really, just being dramatic.

just came up for a holiday, got a spare room Heatho ?

Mornington Peninsula residents are furious and have every right, zero cases yet they're included :8 typical dumb political decision again. We live in Mitchell Shire and as of yesterday had 5 active cases, for the life of me I struggle to understand how this number is deemed excessive :| A few weeks ago a mate who lives at Pakenham Upper in the municipal city of Cardinia had 7 cases and were facing a return to stage 3 lockdown as was the case for some postcodes. After some people made a bit of noise they were removed from the list however as with the rest of Melbourne their now in the same boat as us starting today.

The Mitchell Shire classification has raised a few eyebrows and rightfully so, it's a very large geographical area of which 90% is rural holding. We are the closest rural shire to the north of Melbourne bordering Hume council area so maybe it's this reason rather than the low number of cases that sees us included.

I'm not overly concerned at the moment, but..... I hooked my van up 3 weeks ago, came to the GT to prospect on the basis the S.A. border would open on July 20.
That's not happening, but I intended on a 2 month trip, lol. I should add I'm regional, very regional. In other words "Bush Bash".
It appears I now need to go online and apply to go back home, then self isolate.

I'm actually more isolated here than I would be at home. Then there's the wife at home, so I'd need to stay in the van so she has no need to isolate.

Given that I'm already in the van, another 2 weeks won't hurt. At least I can hook up to water and power in the driveway, lol.

The laugh I had was a week or more ago watching "Dictator Dan" responding to the S.A. Premier opening S.A. borders to most other States but not VIC. He said "Who would want to go to S.A."..... I immediately thought "Half of the VIC population, to get away from the virus" :)
