Need to get yourself a little heat pad and thermostat but for the scale you are doing you might be better with a soil heating cable and making your self a heated propagation propagation bench. I love my little heat pad set up down here as it keeps me germinating seeds in winter and seeds are really cheap compared to live plants so ultimately saves you money.20xwater said:This sun room has limited direct sunlight, thought of using mirrors (one row along windows bouncing the rays to another row hanging above the tables).
It could work but it still doesn't solve the 'germination temperature' problem.
Out door insulated mini green house system design is in progress..
Awesome thanks mate, heat pads $23 on eBay (10"x20")..for the chillies I want to grow I need 18-25 degrees for germination. It's either this or wait a few months. I'm also thinking about temp for seedlings and protection all in one?Goldfreak said:Need to get yourself a little heat pad and thermostat but for the scale you are doing you might be better with a soil heating cable and making your self a heated propagation propagation bench. No good soil on the property, get it from landscape supplies ?Jaros said:Are you importing the soil or got some good stuff in the yards?
You can use heat pads with out buying the thermostat but make sure there is a small air gap between the surfaces or it may overheat. Chicken wire rings protect my trees here from rabbits ring barking them. Tried a scarecrow once for the birds but they ended up using it as a perch.20xwater said:Awesome thanks mate, heat pads $23 on eBay (10"x20")..for the chillies I want to grow I need 18-25 degrees for germination. And then after that protection for the plants in my boxes?
1. Fly wire cages
2. Manigan scare crow
3. Gel blaster
Lol
Am I going to get raided by birds and rodents, possums, insects ?

I wouldn't go around telling people you "cut anouther mans grass" layful:Blocker said:I hope my neighbors think I'm a good guy for mowing their front lawn, and don't realise actually, that because I have so little lawn, I was stealing their grass cuttings for my compost heap.
