Wondering if anyone value adds to their gold in some way before selling. I was thinking along the lines of a display/gift box with a range of gold flakes from different rivers in the Snowies to increase the value of the small amounts won. A little story to go with each example in a really nice wooden box. Why because the range of 'local' souvenirs is pretty limited - either poxy snow related stuff, expensive nature photos or alcohol from the Wild Brumby

I have had nuggets made into necklaces but your idea is excellent. In Victoria, you can buy a gold-town related postcards that have a small vial of gold flakes attached to the post-card. About $10 (I think) I've seen them at Bendigo (Central Deborah Mine)and Ballarat (Soverign Hill and Gold Museum).

I really like the idea of selling the story of gold and the Snowies as opposed to just the gold value and knowing the crowd that comes down here I would probably do a high end (expensive) one for the northern suburbs/ international visitors and a cheaper (average Joe ) version for those coming from the shire or west of the bridge bahahaha
